Who we are

Family-Owned, TICA-Registered Maine Coon Cattery

Corpus Christi Maine Coon Cats (CCMCC) is a small, family-owned cattery based in Corpus Christi, Texas. Founded in 2024, we’re a TICA-registered cattery driven by a lifelong love for cats and a commitment to ethical breeding practices. Our journey began with a deep appreciation for Maine Coons and the positive impact they’ve had on our lives—helping with PTSD, depression, and seizure disorders. Our Queens are an essential part of our family, sharing our home with love, attention, and freedom. Each kitten we raise is given a balanced diet, individual care, and plenty of socialization, ensuring they’re ready to bring joy and companionship to their future families. At CCMCC, we’re dedicated to providing healthy, happy Maine Coons with loving dispositions to those who are ready to welcome these gentle giants into their lives.

History & Fun Facts

The Maine Coon, often referred to as the ‘Gentle Giant,’ is one of North America’s oldest natural cat breeds, originating from the state of Maine. Prized for their hardy, weather-resistant coats and natural hunting abilities, these cats quickly became popular on farms and ships, where their skills were invaluable. With their large, tufted paws and ears, Maine Coons are well adapted to cold climates, and their love for water sets them apart from most other breeds. Their dog-like loyalty, playful spirit, and impressive size—often reaching over 48 inches in length—have made them cherished companions. Known for their gentle temperament, these cats communicate in endearing chirps and trills rather than typical meows, making them a beloved and uniquely charming addition to any home.
